Well considering the fact that our entire society is actually run on the norms set by our foreFATHERS, the norms are obviously very very MAN centric, so keeping that in mind we have been living forever with only man oriented ways of life where even in terms of religion which is a part of the society and is the guiding light 'supposedly', has given women a particular set of principles, jobs, duties and life pathway profiles. Now, saying all of this, the very idea of the fact that india is already a very populated place, almost 50 percent people in india do absolutely nothing, those people are WOMEN.
why? because they are meant for the household, because they were created to cook and take care of other people, because they were not born in the same way men were.(sarcasm rain)
If anyone raises the point that women have come up and are educated and working and all that jazz then i have only one thing to say... stop talking about the god darn urban population as, it is only 5 percent of women in india..
Well the patriarchal system has its stream in the Power struggle as well, its about physical power and majority.
Iif there is woman who tries to not follow the Conventional patriarchal norms, she will be shot down or raped or tortured till she dies, this has instilled a very strong fear of growth and so women after a certain point just enforced the patriarchal system on themselves to run away from pain. The horrific of being physically and sexually assaulted still haunts every woman of this country as there is a very epic foundation laid in terms of the man and woman hierarchy and the physical dominance of the male side of it. Maybe there is not much that has changed in the past 40 years, but that makes me wonder how easy are we to consciously let a repetitive and very unreasonable system to prevail in the midst of complete disbelief.
Now there are ways and means of solving this, but it is huge.
i mean, there are too many people, too strong fundamentals, a very huge number difference and also a huge degree of staunch Ideologies.
